Who are we? What have we been up to?
We are Creo, a class on Interaction Design Production from Champlain College, that took place in the fall semester of 2025. Our class's goal is to create a variety of exhibits and projects, developed using different development methodologies used in the industry. For our class, each student participated in the development of two main projects, through which the class was split.
First half of semester
In the first half, the class worked collectively on a project with Craig Winslow, an artist who uses light projections to create immersive experiences. The class first partook in a multitude of brainstorming sessions, where students worked in groups of 2-3 to develop a variety of different ideas for an interactive exhibit. They then met with Craig Winslow, who took charge as the creative director of the project, and consolidated their ideas, along with new ones, to create Aeroscape: The Promise of Frutiger Aero. A vibrant, interactive exhibit showcasing a utopian future as shown by the early 2000's art style, and the cracks that formed from the simulation.
Second half of semester
During the last days of setting up Aeroscape, Professor Al Larsen asked students about their interests, and what projects that were scrapped from early brainstorming they were interested in. Come the second half of the class, the students were split into groups of 3 to work on these projects. The projects were Salvaged Light: a grungy and interactive photobooth, Memory Project, which focused on exploring lost memories and relationships through objects, Heartbeat, a heart monitor that displays different animations based on the user's heartbeat interval, Educational Exhibit, an exhibition to teach children about archeology, and Creo, this website for documenting all of these amazing works.
